Manitoba Health Coverage
Manitoba Health (MHSC) covers part of the first 7 visits to a chiropractor every calendar year.
Most insurance companies cover some chiropractic care as well. Since companies and the packages they offer vary greatly, we encourage patients to check with their insurance companies as to the coverage that they might have for chiropractic care.
We do not direct bill insurance companies for extended insurance, but rather provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your particular company. We also accept auto accident and workers compensation cases.
To report injury claim or for more information, call the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claim information centre at 204-954-4100 or 1-855-954-4321, 8 am–7 pm, Mon–Fri.
The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba is a mutual workplace injury and disability insurance agency funded by employer premiums. If you were hurt at work your first step is to make an injury claim by calling WCB directly, your employer will do the same. Once the injury claim is made WCB will then decide if you fall under their standards for coverage on care. Once you have been accepted all of your treatment here at Heartland Chiropractic will be covered through WCB for the number of weeks they approve you for. You are responsible to come 3 times per week for care through WCB. This is a guideline NOT a choice. WCB will NOT let you make up missed visits.
Auto Vehicle Accidents
Call 1-800-665-2410, 9 am–5 pm, Mon-Fri.
All Manitobans who are injured in an automobile collision, including both vehicle owners and non-vehicle owners, are fairly compensated for their economic losses. If you are hurt in an automotive accident the first step is to call MPI directly and report your injury. Once the Injury Claim is made MPI will then decide if you meet there guidelines and then you are either approved or rejected for treatment here at Heartland Chiropractic. Once you have been approved you will then be covered for 42 visits. After the 42 visits if the practitioner feels like you would benefit for more chiropractic treatment then our office would put in an extension and then again see if you meet MPI standards in being approved for additional treatment. You are responsible to come 3 times per week for the first 22 visits after that you are responsible to come 2 times/week then down to 1 time/week. This is a guideline NOT a choice.
We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit, Visa, or MasterCard.
